lawlessness& bikes - It finally caught up with me yesterday. My trusty though arthritic bicycle was stolen on Duke St. Stupidly I locked it to a traffic bollard instead of the signpost that stood beside it. So some ignoble citizien took it upon themselves to make away with it. Last week, the bike had been almost stolen too. I was viewing an apartment, when outside I saw some gouger giving the bike a good once-over, then up he gets and starts cycling away. I ran outside, shouting for him to stop. To my surprise he actually did stop. He got off the bike, apologised and then went on his merry way.
